Event Markup

selecEvent descriptions can contain various kinds of markup text that is converted before the description is displayed. Google Calendars does not allow HTML to be inserted in calendar events (this is not strictly true, HTML can be inserted, but if that event is edited again any HTML is stripped out and lost). Several of the event markup commands are replacements for HTML markup elements. Of course this assumes the description is part of the current gCalMarkup template (see the Selectors section). The following table lists the available markup commands, and gives a description and an example of each command taken from an event on this gCalMarkup test calendar.

[propertyName=propertyValue]

Sets an event property. These properties can be extracted and displayed in a calendar. See event properties ([EP]) in the Properties section.

 

 

[category=categoryName]



 Places an event in a category. A category of the same name must be defined with a {gCalDefine category/} command.
